We know that paying energy bills isn’t always easy—especially with prices going up. PG&E has a program that may help lower the amount you owe.
The Match My Payment Program can provide up to $1,000 in matching funds to help pay off past-due bills.
If you’re behind on your PG&E bill, this program might be able to help. WestLight Energy doesn’t run the program or decide who qualifies, but we’re sharing this in case it could be useful for you or your family.
How it works:
First, apply online for the program. Once you receive a confirmation email, you can make your payment of at least $50 toward your overdue balance. PG&E will match your payment, doubling the amount paid toward your balance.
Act fast! The program ends on December 31, 2026, or when all money is reserved.
What you need to sign up:
- PG&E residential account in your name
- Past-due balance on your PG&E bill above $100
- Household income below 400% of the federal poverty level
How to join:
You will need to fill out a form on the Dollar Energy Fund website or call 1-888-282-6816. This organization runs the Match My Payment Program for PG&E.
